If you’re looking for a great French breakfast on the left bank of the Vltava in the Prague city centre, look no further than the Café Savoy on Vítězná Street. This luxurious café and restaurant, designed by Lazar Kraus, continues the tradition of the fine dining establishments of the First Czechoslovak Republic. In the past, famous people such as Franz Kafka came here for coffee.
As well as French breakfast, guests can choose English or continental, and we haven’t forgotten fans of healthy eating or eggs – which we can prepare here in more than ten ways. Our own bakery offers fresh products daily.
The restaurant is headed by Executive Chef Roman Frencl, who is renowned for his gourmet dishes, including veal sweetbread and snails.
The café is located a short walk from Petřín, the Vltava and Šeříková Street, which got its name from the intoxicating fragrance of the unusually large lilac bushes that once bloomed in the Fleischinger Garden. Across the river, there is a great view of the National Theatre. The interior of the café, which is part of the Ambiente network, is light and fresh, underscored by the listed neo-Renaissance ceiling dating from 1893. Come soak up the atmosphere of the cafés of the First Czechoslovak Republic at Café Savoy – with its unique cuisine, ambience and first-class service.
