A relatively inconspicuous door leads visitors into a totally unexpected, luxurious world. A combination of red and black, exotic wood tables, upholstered chairs, lots of chandeliers and coloured lighting, an overhead walkway with wrought-iron railings and a larger than life statue of a seated Buddha, which dominates the interior, creating a perfectly balanced blend of the Orient, Art Nouveau and colonial-style at the Buddha-Bar and Hotel in Jakubská Street in Prague 1. The restaurant aptly named the Siddharta Café offers a similarly breath-taking sight to the rest of the building: a coffered ceiling, a wall with niches holding dozens of glass Buddha statues with multi-coloured backlighting and the dominant feature - two chandeliers in oriental style, but crafted by Czech glassmakers.

And the menu? A wide selection of Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese dishes, accompanied by an extensive wine list and cocktail menu - once again, all lavishly prepared.

There are also interesting events held here every day, whether it’s brunch, a party, various shows or a musical evening with live DJs. You can even attend sushi courses here.
